Privacy notice
Effective 6 November 2026. ListenAcross is operated by RENDUN LIMITED. Contact support@listenacross.com.
What we process
We store verified account emails, organisation membership, room settings, payment references and metered usage. Payment card data is handled by PayPal. Microphone audio is sent to Soniox for transcription/translation; translated text is sent for speech synthesis. LiveKit transports generated audio to listeners. We do not store the original audio or generated audio recordings.
Live captions are buffered temporarily for reconnecting listeners. Hosts may opt into transcript storage for up to 30 days. Hosts must inform speakers and participants and have permission before transmitting or retaining content. Shared records are accessible to anyone with the room link; sharing is off by default. Private records are available to authorised organisation members.
Questions, prepared text and AI summaries
Questions and prepared text may be sent to an AI text provider through OpenRouter for translation. Summaries use retained transcripts. Questions are visible to the organisation team, not other listeners, and are retained up to 30 days. Do not submit sensitive personal data. AI outputs can be inaccurate.
Service providers and retention
Infrastructure and AI processing may occur outside your country. Soniox, OpenRouter/model providers, PayPal and our hosting/email providers process the data necessary to supply their services under their own terms. We do not promise that this is suitable for regulated confidential meetings. Account and billing records are kept as necessary for service and accounting; feedback is kept for support. Request account deletion or a data copy by email. Hosts can delete session records in the studio. Session cookies are necessary for login; no advertising cookies are required.
Listener access
Listeners do not need accounts. The service uses short-lived connection identifiers and request metadata for capacity, security and troubleshooting. Temporary audio connection diagnostics (device category, playback state and packet counters, not recordings) are retained for at most 24 hours to help troubleshoot playback. Room links are intended to be shared, not used as a confidential access system. To stop a broadcast, the host ends the session.
